Message I personally don't know for sure if these copies will crack. Time will tell so there's no reason to get all pissy. Let the people who bought the copies deal with it when the time comes. In the meantime, realize that this is NO different than the fascia philosophy. Some people don't mind saving money with a cheap fiberglass fascia. They take the risk and if they crack it, with the cost of repaint and a new fascia, they've gone OVER the cost of a quality front clip.

Same story here. These are rough numbers, but the point is clear.

$150 pipes + ~$200 to install (Most people don't DIY and some people pay even MORE for installs as we've seen). That's $350. IF a set were to crack within a year (and again, we don't know for sure just yet), that's another $150 for more pipes and another $200 for install.

Grand total: $700 + the hassle. And you STILL have the copies. If you went with quality pipes at that point, you're up to $1,000 invested. If you had bought quality pipes the first time around, you'd be at $650 and you'd never have to touch them again (based on thousands of sets being sold so far and being fine).

People need to stop crying foul and acting so bitchy. I can't believe people call me out for making a valid point...as if I'm making a big deal out of nothing. THIS IS WHAT WE DO ON THIS FORUM. We review things, put out opinions and keep an eye out for eachother when it comes to sorting out crap from the good stuff. So far, these new pipes haven't had any major issues. I understand that. But if they do, we have these posts to refer to and bookmark, and then we act. If it bothers you that much, go buy a cheap set and drive your Z. Ignore the post.
